The Challenge

Operating in a high-stakes industrial environment, the client was hampered by a legacy fleet of desktops running Windows 10 that had reached the end of their functional lifespan. Their network was fragmented, lacking clear segmentation and remote oversight, while an aging, high-maintenance server created unnecessary overhead and performance bottlenecks.

The Solution

We executed a comprehensive digital transformation focused on performance and cost-efficiency:

• Hardware Refresh: Migrated the entire fleet to high-performance Dell workstations equipped with Intel i7 processors, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSDs, fully optimized for Windows 11.
• Network Overhaul: Replaced “legacy” hardware with a robust UniFi infrastructure. We implemented VLANs to secure industrial traffic from office operations and enabled cloud-based remote management for 24/7 oversight.
• Storage Optimization: Phased out the costly, aging server in favor of a high-availability UniFi NAS solution, providing a more cost-effective and agile data management environment.

The Impact

The client now operates on a lightning-fast, secure network with hardware that matches their industrial output. By moving to the NAS solution, they reduced annual maintenance costs while gaining superior data redundancy.
