WooCommerce is a very popular e-commerce platform with over 5 million active installations of the free WooCommerce plugin.

Set up is relatively simple, and although there are are a few steps to work through.

If you are already selling through other outlets this should be a breeze, if you are selling for the first time then there are some choices to be made. How will you take payments? How will you ship physical products? Will you ship worldwide? What will your return policy be?

Adding products to your store is simple, and very similar to adding a page or a post. They have the same title and text boxes for you to describe your item. You can put them into categories just like pages and posts. There is an additional section on the edit page where you can add the price, select shipping options, set stock levels etc:

Products can also easily be imported from a CSV file.
